UNESCO ArtCamp, an itinerant artistic showcase supported by the United Nations agency based in Paris, is a gathering of artists from conflict areas, refugees, and/or immigrants who engage with one another through artistic creation and the sharing of their cultures and inspirations.

Now in its tenth edition, the artists who take part in the periodic ArtCamp events around the world participate in exchanges and artist residencies aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, a culture of peace, and respect for the diversity of cultural expressions. These efforts are part of UNESCO’s broader program: “Road to Peace.”
The initiative, originally launched by Andorra, has since been extended to include Italy, Malta, and the United Arab Emirates. Notably, this past spring, the series was enriched by a well-received stop in Rome, hosted at Temple University’s Italian campus, in collaboration with the Italian National Commission for UNESCO, with a special focus on refugee artists.

The outcomes of the artistic residencies held in previous years across the four ArtCamp network countries will be presented for the first time as a unified exhibition featuring works previously shown in each edition. The vernissage will be held at UNESCO Headquarters on September 13, in the Miró Rooms.
The exhibit, with free admission, will then be open to the public from September 16 to 19, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
