On July 12, in the superb setting of the Quai des Celestins along the river Seine in Paris, took place the closing evening of the Dolcevita-sur-Seine festival. Organized by the Palatine Association in collaboration with the Promoting Committee for the Candidature of Roma Expo 2030 and the Italian Permanent Delegation at UNESCO and BIE, the event was centered around the candidature of Rome to host the 2030 Universal Exposition.
The consolidated link between Rome and Paris was celebrated in the best possible way as the Nouvelle Vague festival, the twin event of Dolcevita-sur-Seine, was running at the same time in Rome, at the Casa del cinema located in Villa Borghese.
The Parisian public was enchanted by Italian singer Tosca performing “Romana”, followed by the interventions in support of Rome’s candidature by Ambassador Liborio Stellino, Italian Permanent Delegate at UNESCO and BIE, and Italy’s Consul General in France, Irene Castagnoli, and the Parisian Councilor for International Affairs, Arnaud Ngatcha. The numerous guests included several BIE delegates, who will be called to vote for the hosting city for Expo 2030 in November 2023.
