Photo Exhibition “Rome, The Eternal” Opens at the Carrousel du Louvre

ExpoRome-56

On June 13, 2023 the photo exhibition “Rome, the Eternal” opened at the Carrousel du Louvre. The exhibition, which will last one month, is dedicated to promoting the candidature of Roma Expo 2030 in the French capital, where the elections for the host country of the Universal Exposition will take place next November. Produced by ANSA in collaboration with the Promoting Committee for Roma Expo 2030, the exhibition comprises twenty-two pictures depicting the Italian capital in its various facets – from cinema to architecture, from fashion to tech innovation – through three sections: Expression (visual narration inspired by the world of cinema), Inclusion (highlighting Rome’s vocation for hospitality and integration), Modern and Antique (the Italian capital as an open-sky museum).

The vernissage was attended by Ambassador Liborio Stellino, Permanent Delegate of Italy to UNESCO, the Councilor for Culture of Rome, Miguel Gotor, the Director of the Carrousel du Louvre, Marie Mauvage, and the Technical and Creative Director of the Promoting Committee for Roma Expo 2030, Matteo Gatto. Among the important guests, numerous BIE and UNESCO delegates.

The choice of pictures highlights the underlying values and principles for the candidature of Rome, those of a city which is the ideal meeting point for peoples and cultures (in a perspective of long-term integration and global sustainable cooperation) and is strongly rooted in history while being projected into the future and innovation.
