Val Camonica – Alto Sebino and Monte Peglia the World Network of UNESCO’s MAB Programme (Man and Biosphere).
The International Coordination Council of the MAB Programme, currently taking place in Indonesia, inscribed 24 new Biosphere Reserves, 2 of which Italian. It also approved the extension of the Ticino Reserve, Val Grande Verbano.
With these new insciptions, 20 biosphere reserves out of 748 are Italian.
