Third International Symposium on Material and Intangible Cultural Heritage

On 18 and 19 January, the Forlì campus of the University of Bologna hosted the third edition of the International Symposium on Material and Intangible Cultural Heritage through the Past, Present and Future, to which the Italian Representative to UNESCO, Amb. Liborio Stellino, contributed with a videomessage.

Organised by the Heritage International Institute (HII) and the University of Pisa, the Symposium was attended by the Undersecretary of State for Culture, Lucia Borgonzoni, and the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi.

The conference contributed to the debate on the notion of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, and on new ways of preservation, also following the reflection already started with the Naples Conference on Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century (27-29 November 2023), organised by Italy in cooperation with UNESCO.
