The Carabinieri Present the 2019 Italian World-Heritage Sites Historical Calendar and Agenda

The 2019 edition of the historical calendar and agenda of the Carabinieri, which is prefaced by UNESCO’s Director general Audrey Azoulay and devoted to Italy’s World Heritage Sites, has been presented yesterday during a ceremony at the Carabinieri Officials’ School in Rome.

The Italian Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, Umberto Bonisoli, attended the ceremony, together with the Italian Under-Secretary for Defense, Angelo Tofalo, and the General Commander of the Carabinieri Corps, Giovanni Nistri.

This edition commemorates the 40th anniversary of the first Italian site inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Carabinieri Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.

Each page of the calendar illustrates one of the Italian sites, providing a general outlook on the richness of the Italian peninsula’s landscapes.
