On April 8 2014 at UNESCO’s headquarters, Irina Bokova decorated the Italian étoile dancer Roberto Bolle from the La Scala theatre of Milan with the UNESCO’s medal for cultural diversity.
Before the ceremony, the artist, together with five other renown dancers, performed a selection of “pas de deux” which prompted a standing ovation from the 1400 people present.
