Representatives of the 195 Member States of UNESCO have participated to the event, where the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, has presented its region’s innovative cultural and natural heritage management and conservation plans.
While presenting the region’s World Heritage Sites and the Delta del Po Biosphere Reserve, Mr Zaia has also introduced a cultural heritage protection protocol which has been signed with the University of Venice, bearing testimony to the local authorities’ will to preserve the richness of this territory.
The event has been closed by a tasting of fine specialties from the Veneto region.
