Ambassador Massimo Riccardo is the new Permanent Representative of Italy to UNESCO

Ambassador Massimo Riccardo started his mandate at the beginning of UNESCO’s Executive Board, replacing Ambassador Vincenza Lomonaco who returned to Rome upon the end of her term.

Ambassador Riccardo recently met with UNESCO’s Director-General, Audrey Azoulay, for the presentation of his credentials and to discuss ongoing relations between Italy and the Organization in its main fields of action (Education, Science and Culture).

In the speech he pronounced during the 205th Executive Board session, Ambassador Riccardo wished to reiterate Italy’s support to the Organization.
