The “Lombards in Italy. Places of Power (568 - 774 a.C.)” site was inscribed on the World Heritage List on Saturday 25 June 2011.
It reunites the most important vestiges of the Lombards’ presence in Italy, among Cividale del Friuli, Benevento, Brescia, Castelseprio, Campello sul Clitunno, Spoleto and Monte Sant'Angelo.
With this 46th site, Italy still detains the WH site record, ahead of Spain (42) and China (41).
