The Italian government is contributing 1,3 million euros to finance the initiative, which will be implemented by the Italian Cooperation Agency for Sustainable Development and UNESCO\u2019s office in Yangon, in cooperation with the local authorities. It aims at strengthening the capacities of Myanmar\u2019s Ministry for Culture and Religious Affairs and supporting the site\u2019s nomination to the World Heritage List\u00a0\u00bb.
